A large reach number cannot explain whether a post helped the business. Start with the decision the report needs to support, then choose the signals that answer it.

Name the job of the content

Awareness, response, demand, and retention need different evidence. Give each campaign one primary job and a small set of supporting measures.

Keep context beside the number

Record the audience, format, paid support, publication window, and call to action. A comparison without those conditions invites the wrong conclusion.

A metric earns a place in the report when it changes a decision.

Read conversation quality

Review replies, saved posts, qualified messages, and recurring questions. These signals can show intent that a reaction count misses.

Close the review with an action

Assign the next test, owner, and review date. The report should change the next brief rather than end as a presentation.
